David S. Huber Pipe Smooth Cobra

An interesting  shape and a marvelous color (love to see both at the same time!), but the grain steals the show on this double seamed tear drop number.  Flame, dense, cross, burst, birdseye, and if you will indulge me, storm, lantern, radial, coaxial, and many other words to describe the tumult of patterns presented here.  There is an impressive design along the tear drop's edge, or rather double edge, that extends from the shank, up the face of the bowl and and back just below the rim before completely smoothing out in the back of the bowl.  With so much to take in the simple stem is ideal.
