About the maker:
Comoy's is the oldest, continuously operating manufacturer of briar pipes in the world. Francois Comoy began making clay pipes in France in 1825. In 1848 his son Louis was one of the first to adopt briar for his pipe making artistry. In 1879 Louis' son Henri moved the family briar-making business to London, thereby establishing Comoy's as one of the premier briar pipe makers of that city. Today, more than 150 years and five generations later, Comoy's continues in the tradition of providing excellent pipes, and many of their old pipes are collectable.Comoy's of London pipes are good smokers, crafted in the finest tradition of the legendary artisans of the past.
