Description:
An unusually large specimen for a Dunhill patent-era pipe, this shell briar is an impressive pipe! Its flat bottom allows it to stand freely. The sand blast finish is set in a deep stain with subtle highlighting, giving the pipe a rustic elegance. For a pipe this old, it is in amazing condition. Based on information in the R.D. Field dating guide, this pipe was made in 1927 or 1937. Based on patent numbers, it is from 1927, but the number after "ENGLAND" is a raised 17, which denotes 1937.
