Is it a Volcano, a smirking puppet, an away shuttle...?  Grant has always done an exceptional job of creating beautiful pieces that defy shaping boundaries, making each of his creations not just unique, but incredibly sought after.  Note the use of repeating elements in profile from the half saddle crown to the seam of the bowl to the angle at the transition.  Like a Volcano rising out of the side of the mountain the presentation of curve and angle with deep blast is very earthy in tone and feel.  AND its oddly comfortable in hand.
