Wojtek Pastuch Pipe Oval Shank Dublin w/ Plateau and Faux Ivory

I shouldn't be writing this...if anyone knew what a sucker I was for red pipes...

Thick walled and a wide oval shank that does not taper take a considerable amount of wood to accomplish.  With lots of good wood comes lots of good grain, and with lots of grain comes a high contrast finish.  So shiny and detailled it looks as if a light has been turned on underneath the surface of the pipe, and the detail work with the synthetic ivory is phenomenal.  These cat's eye features balance out the thin stem to the considerable heft of the bowl and shank.
